About Teahouse Treks

Teahouse Treks was built on a simple idea: the best Nepal trekking experience comes from people who genuinely know and love these mountains.

Glenn’s Story

I’m Glenn — an American trekker who fell in love with Nepal on my first trip and never quite recovered. Since then, I’ve trekked Nepal four times: Everest Base Camp twice, the Annapurna Circuit, and the Everest Three Passes. Out of 46 countries I’ve visited, Nepal remains my favourite. In fact, there is nowhere else like it.

Over those years I came to know Badri Pant — a Kathmandu-based guide and operator with over twenty years of experience leading trekkers through the Himalayas. Moreover, Badri’s knowledge of these mountains, his relationships with local communities, and his ability to handle anything the trail throws at you is extraordinary. I’ve seen it firsthand.

Our Partnership

Teahouse Treks is our partnership. Specifically, Badri runs the operations on the ground in Nepal — the guides, the logistics, the permits, the relationships built over two decades. Meanwhile, I handle the planning and promotion from the US, and I’m available to answer your questions any time. As a result, you get someone who knows Nepal intimately from the inside, and someone who came to it exactly as you will — as a traveller seeing it for the first time and then not being able to stop going back.

Nepal

Nepal is a small, landlocked country that packs more dramatic landscape into its borders than almost anywhere on Earth. For instance, it rises from jungle and rice paddy to the highest peaks in the world within a few hundred kilometres. In total, eight of the world’s fourteen highest mountains are here. Furthermore, some of the warmest, most welcoming people you will ever meet call Nepal home.

Our Team

All our guides are government-registered and highly experienced. In addition, the porters are outstanding — committed, hardworking, and remarkably good-humoured at altitude. Together, the team has guided trekkers safely through some of the most demanding and rewarding terrain on the planet.
